Statement of Purpose

To use and strengthen my skills and gifts of communication, teaching, writing, administration and leadership in order to advance Jesus’ mission in the lives of others (Isaiah 61:1-3; Luke 4:18-21)

Personal Data

Date of Birth: June 9th, 1973 (Duluth, MN)

Family: Married to Rachel J. Wollan (June 17th, 1995)

Four children – Josiah (15), Adalynn (13), Jonathan (12), Joshua (11)

Philosophy of Ministry & Education

In Luke 4:18-21, Jesus refers to Isaiah 61:1-2 as his purpose and mission. As apprentices of

Christ, in whom he resides, his mission is to be our mission. Ministry and education are to

serve the purpose of bringing these Isaianic declarations to fruition in the lives and

communities surrounding Christ’s followers, by proclaiming good news to the poor, healing

the brokenhearted, setting captives and prisoners free, and declaring the Father’s favor. I

long to train and equip others in continuing this work of God.
